**Department** Production **Reports to** Workshop Supervisor **Position Objective** Execute TIG (GTAW) welding processes using argon gas as shielding gas, ensuring high-quality joints, dimensional accuracy, and excellent surface finish in accordance with drawings, technical specifications, and company-established quality standards. **Functions and Responsibilities** * Perform **TIG (GTAW)** welding on materials such as stainless steel and carbon steel. * Prepare parts for welding (cleaning, degreasing, beveling, and alignment). * Adjust and control welding parameters (amperage, polarity, argon flow rate). * Interpret drawings and technical diagrams. * Visually and dimensionally inspect weld bead quality. * Correct welding defects when required. * Safely handle argon cylinders, TIG equipment, and auxiliary tools—including handheld power tools with guards. * Comply with workplace **safety, order, and cleanliness** standards. * Assemble, tack-weld, and adjust parts as required by the process—for PTR structures and stainless-steel angles. * Report deviations, equipment failures, or quality issues to the immediate supervisor. **Authority** * Halt operations upon detection of unsafe conditions or critical quality defects. * Request corrections to part preparation prior to welding. * Recommend adjustments to welding parameters to improve quality or process efficiency. **Position Requirements** **Experience** * Minimum **2–3 years** of TIG welding experience. * Demonstrable experience using argon gas (letters of recommendation, photographs, employer contacts). **Technical Knowledge** * TIG (GTAW) welding * Technical drawing reading * Use of basic measuring instruments * Fundamental industrial safety standards **Skills** * High attention to detail * Precision and control over finish quality * Work under quality standards * Teamwork * Responsibility and organization **Working Conditions** * Work in a metalworking workshop * Exposure to heat, radiation, and noise (mandatory use of PPE) * Working hours according to production scheduling * Possible overtime work depending on project workload Employment Type: Full-time, Indefinite-term Benefits: * Option for an indefinite-term employment contract * Free uniforms * Additional vacation days or paid leave Work Location: On-site employment
