Job Summary: Coordination and optimization of land transportation routes, management of vehicles and drivers, cargo tracking, and incident resolution. Key Responsibilities: 1. Efficient planning and management of land transportation routes 2. Coordination of vehicles and drivers to ensure deliveries 3. Monitoring and control of transportation to resolve incidents ***NIGHT SHIFT SCHEDULE*** ***Monday to Friday: 7:00 pm to 6:00 am*** ***Saturday: Day off*** ***Sunday: 10:00 pm to 6:00 am*** **1\. Route Planning and Management:** Organize, schedule, and assign land transportation trips and routes to ensure efficient deliveries within customer-committed timeframes. **2\. Vehicle and Driver Coordination:** Assign vehicles (trucks/trailers) and drivers based on availability and operational priorities, ensuring adherence to scheduled departure and arrival times. **3\. Transportation Monitoring and Control:** Monitor the status of in-transit cargo (tracking) to ensure timely deliveries and resolve incidents occurring en route or pending issues with drivers and carriers. **4\. Documentation and Regulatory Compliance:** Verify and manage transportation documentation (waybills, shipping guides, permits, and border-crossing or customs documentation as applicable), ensuring compliance with regulations. **5\. Communication with Customers and Stakeholders:** Maintain continuous contact with customers, drivers, and other internal departments to provide updates on delivery status, changes, or operational requirements. **6\. Process Optimization:** Identify areas for improvement in traffic operations to enhance efficiency of time and resources, reduce costs, and improve customer service. **7\. Incident Management:** Address and resolve issues arising from delays, deviations, cancellations, or last-minute adjustments affecting scheduled deliveries or routes. **8\. Operational Reporting:** Prepare periodic reports with traffic performance indicators (on-time deliveries, incidents, fleet utilization) for internal analysis and decision-making.
