Utilize diverse automation and control technologies. **Essential Functions:** * Will supervise automation activities far the site. executing automation projects, assuring maintenance of and compliance with applicable procedures. * Review and maintain systems and identify improvements in the design incorporating trench * Test program operation to verify it remains functional * Communicate with clients to address their concerns and troubleshoot and identify solutions to problems **Competencies:** * Team spirit, initiative, autonomy, flexibility and creativity * Root cause analysis/problem\-solving skills * Familiar with project management methods and tools * Job experience in process control using solutions such as: defining equipment user interfaces, control logic, alarms. and interlocks. * Proportional\-integral\-derivative controller (PID) tuning, electronic batch recipes, multi\- variable advanced process control * Proficiency in PLC programming Logix * Good computer skills — office software tools, computer programming knowledge:: Sequential Flow Charts and Function Black diagrams, SQL, Visual Basic, and Mathematical software packages. * Experience in equipment commissioning, qualification as well as computerized system validation. * Experience with server\-client networks, with or without virtualization * Ability to determine customer needs to develop project specifications and scope * Ability to interpret and implement specification * Knowledge and experience of automation and control technologies and systems — examples include Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems, and, often, Vision Systems. * Software development skills \- including knowledge of C/C\+\+/C\#, VB, SQL, and Java * Strong mathematical abilities — as computer modelling and simulations are a core part of the role of a Control Systems Engineer. * Goad communication \-especially important as a Control Systems Engineer needs to be across all aspects of the project * Knowledge of network services \- this includes LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and mare. **Preferred Education and Experience** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering — Electronic.
