




The Cloud Performance Engineer will work with a team of skilled, cross\-functional engineers building and scaling services that support medical devices, mobile applications, partner integrations, and data analytics. You will partner with teams, both local and abroad, to build world class medical device software. The ideal person has experience developing production\-quality software. · Ensure Cloud solutions meet defined SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs and build Cloud performance harnesses using tools such as JMeter, Locust, Python, and Kubernetes. · Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to design scalable, cost\-effective solutions. · Analyze performance findings and provide recommendations to optimize Cloud configurations. · Document and report performance findings to development team and stakeholders. · Participate in capacity planning and forecasting activities to ensure resources support company growth and peak loads. · Work closely with Site Reliability Engineering to refine SLIs and build monitoring capabilities. · Create dashboards using monitoring services such as AWS CloudWatch and DataDog. · Automate performance activities in Bamboo/Jenkins CI/CD builds. · Python scripting, as necessary, to support performance activities. · Comply with quality practices for the design and maintenance of medical products. · Excellent verbal and written communications in English and Spanish (written, verbal) · Experience planning and designing performance tests for load, stress, spikes, and scalability is preferred · Experience developing performance testing scripts for AWS or Cloud · Previous experience developing in Python · BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field preferred · Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA regulations and international standards applicable to medical device software development, verification, and validation a plus · Experience developing with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Locust is preferred · Experience with message delivery systems such as RabbitMQ and Kafka is preferred · Experience with OpenTelemetry, DataDog or other tools to instrument, generate, and collect data is preferred · Experience with MongoDB is preferred · Prior successes working within Agile methodology is highly desired
