About the Project Red Jalisco is the government-operated WiFi connectivity network deployed across public spaces in the state of Jalisco. The selected candidate will join the technical team responsible for maintaining, evolving, and operating the network’s management, monitoring, and analytics platform—contributing to service availability for thousands of concurrent users. Responsibilities * Development and maintenance of backend and frontend modules for the Red Jalisco platform. * Implementation of REST endpoints and consumption of internal APIs (authentication, telemetry, billing-like reporting). * Working with relational databases (PostgreSQL) for queries, migrations, and basic optimization. * Building monitoring dashboards and operational reports. * Integration with network services (captive portal, RADIUS / FreeRADIUS, logs from perimeter devices). * Participation in code reviews, unit testing, and controlled deployments. * Clear technical documentation in Spanish (without informal abbreviations). * Direct collaboration with the DevOps team and operations department. Essential Requirements * **Proven professional experience:** minimum 1 year in full-stack development (may include formal internships or full-time projects). * **Backend:** Node.js or PHP (Laravel)—at least one with solid proficiency. * **Frontend:** Modern JavaScript (ES2020+), HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS or equivalent. * **UI Framework:** React, Angular, Vue, or Alpine.js (at least one). * **Database:** PostgreSQL or MySQL—writing queries, joins. * **Version Control:** Git (branching, pull requests, conflict resolution). * **Linux:** basic terminal usage. * **Professional communication in Spanish** (technical reading and writing). * Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies (≥80% completed) in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, or related field.
