MTY \- QRO Full\-Time \| Production Support \| Global Environment English: Advanced (Mandatory) About the Role We are seeking a Visual Basic Analyst – L2 Support to join a global team supporting business\-critical applications developed in VB6, VBA, and VB.NET. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, improving system stability, and collaborating with international stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring application reliability, performance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities * Provide Level 2 production support for Visual Basic applications * Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents escalated from L1 support * Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes * Modify and enhance VB6, VB.NET, and VBA code * Support application interfaces, batch jobs, reports, and database integrations * Follow ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management) * Document solutions, known errors, and technical procedures * Collaborate with business users, functional teams, and development teams * Participate in application maintenance, upgrades, and transition activities * Support production releases including validation and post\-deployment verification * Communicate clearly and professionally in English with global stakeholders Required Technical Skills * Strong experience with VB6 and/or VB.NET * Experience with VBA (Excel, Access, or Office integrations) * Experience with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MS Access) * Solid understanding of production application support * Strong debugging, code analysis, and performance troubleshooting skills * Experience supporting legacy applications and managing technical debt * Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar * Basic understanding of Windows services, scheduled jobs, and application logs Functional and Soft Skills * Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities * Ability to work independently on assigned incidents and tasks * Customer\-oriented mindset and stakeholder management skills * Ability to prioritize workload in high\-volume support environments * Attention to detail and commitment to quality and system stability * Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal) – Mandatory Education and Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) * 3 to 6 years of experience in application support or development using Visual Basic technologies * Previous experience in AMS, Production Support, or L2 Support environments is highly desirable Nice to Have * Experience in modernization or migration projects (e.g., VB6 to .NET) * Experience supporting applications in retail, finance, or enterprise environments * Understanding of basic CI/CD or release management concepts Why Join Us * Work in a global environment with international stakeholders * Exposure to business\-critical enterprise systems * Opportunity to contribute to modernization initiatives * Stable and structured production support processes * Career growth opportunities within enterprise IT environments If you are passionate about problem\-solving, system stability, and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply.
