




**Electrical Design Engineer (Industrial LV/MV)** **Area:** Engineering and Projects **Reports to:** Electrical Engineering Manager / Project Director **Level:** Intermediate – Senior **Position Objective** Design, engineer, and document **industrial low and medium voltage electrical systems**, ensuring proper integration with mechanical, instrumentation, and control disciplines. Create electrical drawings, 3D models, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules to support the construction of panels, motor control centers (MCC), and industrial electrical installations, ensuring compliance with regulations, safety, and operational efficiency. **Main Responsibilities** * Prepare **electrical drawings**: single-line, three-line, control diagrams, wiring, and construction details. * Develop **3D models (BIM/MEP)** for conduits, trays, panels, electrical rooms, and cable routing. * Prepare **cable schedules**, material lists, and calculation reports. * Design and specify **Motor Control Centers (MCC/CCM)** in LV/MV according to **UL 845 / IEC 61439**. * Integrate **short-circuit studies, protection coordination, and arc flash analysis** (ETAP / SKM). * Coordinate with instrumentation, automation, mechanical, and civil teams to ensure engineering compatibility. * Participate in design reviews (Hazop, constructability, electrical safety). * Verify compliance with **NOM, NMX, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, and NEMA** standards as required by the project. * Provide on-site technical support for drawing clarifications, installation reviews, and FAT/SAT testing. **Requirements** **Education:** * Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering or related field. **Experience:** * 3–7 years in the design and construction of industrial electrical installations (LV/MV). * Experience in the design of electrical panels, MCCs, protection systems, and power distribution. * Proven experience in industrial projects in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or continuous process industries (desirable). **Technical Knowledge:** * LV/MV electrical design, panels, and protection systems. * Standards: **UL 845, IEC 61439, IEEE, NFPA 70, applicable NOM**. * Software: AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, Navisworks, EPLAN, ETAP/SKM. * Ability to interpret drawings from other disciplines (mechanical, piping, instrumentation). **Skills and Competencies** * Results-oriented with strong deadline adherence. * Technical rigor and attention to detail. * Multidisciplinary teamwork and collaboration. * Strong technical communication skills (drawings, reports, specifications). * Analytical and problem-solving abilities for electrical issues in office and field environments. **Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * % of electrical deliverables submitted **on time** and without rework. * Compliance with **standards and specifications** during internal and external audits. * Accuracy of **electrical calculations** and simulations in ETAP/SKM. * Efficiency in **multidisciplinary coordination** (minimal BIM clashes). * Reduction in clarifications or **engineering-related changes** during construction.
