**Job Description**

**Job Responsibilities**
* This position has the authority to create and approve purchases on behalf of the Bard organization as described under S24PU\-001\.
* Manage the availability of all component parts and raw materials necessary for successful completion of ship schedules.
* Establish, monitor, and report on inventory levels for assigned components.
* Communicate all production / component support problems to production and materials manager. Assist to identify and implement corrective actions.
* Monitor blanket orders by expediting and de\-expediting components to achieve scheduling and inventory goals.
* Assist Master Scheduling with Manufacturing order/system maintenance.
* Assist purchasing/ shop floor with identifying programs, i.e., JIT, Kan ban, etc., and training suppliers to these programs.
* Manage engineering changes to bill of Material
* Maintain purchasing ordering flags, to assure correct lead times, addresses etc.
* Maintain prices and inventories at the lowest practical levels. Identify opportunities for cost savings.
* Mandatory the follow up of general and security procedures applying to this position.
* Effective communication to production and material managers of deviations affecting the execution of the MPS.
**Education and Experience:**
* Certificate of College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in any field.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in production / materials management (demonstrable on the resume).
**Knowledge and Skills:**
* Working knowledge of production/ inventory management; concepts and principles (MRP, Capacity Planning, MPS, Inventory Planning, Inventory Control) (evaluation according to the current interview form during the interview).
* Supervisory skills. (Evaluation according to the current interview form during the interview).
* Experience participating at different projects. (Evaluation according to the current interview form during the interview).
* Good interpersonal skills. (Evaluation according to the current interview form during the interview).
