SHIFT MANAGER (SHIFT SUPERVISOR) **JOB SUMMARY:** The Shift Manager is responsible for providing effective leadership of production operations and material handling, and supervising assigned team members. The Shift Manager must be committed to creating a safe environment where team members understand and uphold the Company’s values. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for production, assembly, and sequencing operations across the entire plant. * Supervise all operational launch activities. * Lead and develop Team Leaders. * Must be a "floor leader" who observes, analyzes, questions, discusses, teaches, and leads others. * Active leader in problem-solving analysis and development of irreversible corrective actions for quality issues. * Ensure compliance with company quality policies, values, and philosophies. * Ensure short- and long-term objectives are achieved. * Manage operating systems to oversee all production operations. * Maintain safe operations and a clean work area by adhering to safety and housekeeping procedures/regulations. * Complete all required forms, documents, and reports timely, as mandated by the company’s quality management system. * Perform all other duties as assigned. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 5+ years of experience as a Shift Supervisor in the automotive industry **TRAVEL:** **Travel Required:** Minimal **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:** * Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes. * Must be willing and able to rotate across different shifts as needed. * High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with all team members. * Solid knowledge of tooling, equipment, automation, and engineering specifications for automotive assembly applications. * Strong organizational and administrative skills. * Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. * Open-minded, willing to take responsibility, results-oriented. * Experience with Microsoft Office tools. * Demonstrated use of data-driven decision-making and problem-solving. * Understanding of operational principles. * Familiarity with operation of technological tools. **BENEFITS:** **PURPOSE:** Building a Better Whole We build a better culture by putting people before profits, leading with purpose, passion, and performance, and creating an environment dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for our customers and people.
