Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **About the Position:** Communicate to managers relevant issues related to equipment performance and maintenance, supporting the team in implementing effective solutions to improve overall efficiency, performance, and uptime; comply with safety, health, and environmental guidelines, actively participating in the continuous improvement of procedures during maintenance activities; inspect machinery and equipment to identify failures and potential solutions, executing appropriate troubleshooting and preventive maintenance procedures; and track work orders, spare parts, parts consumption, and preventive maintenance programs using a computerized maintenance management system. **Responsibilities:** * Preventive Maintenance: Regular inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement to prevent failures. * Corrective Maintenance: Diagnosis, repair, and troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment. * Predictive Maintenance: Use of data analysis and monitoring to predict and prevent failures before they occur (implicit in the modern technician’s role). * Diagnosis: Identify symptoms, use tools, and analyze data to determine root causes of problems. * Repair: Perform mechanical, electrical, electronic, and building systems repairs. * Safety: Ensure compliance with safety protocols to protect employees and the environment. * Documentation: Record completed work, track plans and projects, requisition materials, and coordinate with suppliers. **Required Education:** * Completed technical high school or incomplete/complete engineering degree. **Required Skills:** **Problem Solving:** * Maintain records and analyze data to improve performance indicators. * Continuously improve maintenance routines and procedures. * Ability to appropriately apply problem-solving knowledge across diverse situations. **Service Excellence:** * Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; * Ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and deliver excellent service directly or indirectly. **Engineering and Technology:** * Solid technical knowledge of equipment and subsystems used in the steel industry. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams. * Strong understanding of control systems and electronic components. **Technical Problem Solving:** * Proficiency with problem-solving tools and techniques. * Ability to anticipate, detect, and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment. **Additional Information:** * This position is located in Santa Catarina. * Schedule: Monday through Saturday. * Rotating shifts (3 shifts). * Availability to work weekends. * Relocation assistance is not offered. **Final Details:** Please regularly check the email associated with your application, including your spam/junk folder, as this is our primary method of correspondence.
