Troubleshoots packaging issues beyond reach of initial process involvement **Position:** Packaging Engineer **Hire Manager:** Launch Manager **Plant:** Ramos Arizpe, Coah. **Objective:** Manages multiple projects in multiple locations Includes management of packaging material and primary and secondary design specifications and development, protocols / validations, and specification development for the proper management of all packaging aspects of the company. Manufacturing Packaging Design Engineering focuses on the design and development of product packaging (boxes, cartons, bottles, plastic wrap, and other packaging), including: Designing and manufacturing new packaging or improvements to existing packaging; testing, analysis and selection of packaging materials based on durability and cost\-effectiveness **Main Purposes:** * Analyze test data and present results and conclusions regarding packaging * Manage cost management of packaging components * Ensures change control procedures are still working with quality control * Troubleshooter when packaging issues are beyond the reach of the people involved in the process or supply chain * Coordinate all packing activities at the 2 MOTUS Interiors MX locations. * Analyze all logistics aspects of packaging * Coordinate the staff under their charge, Jr. engineers and packaging requirements analyst * Support and coordinate packaging aspects for new releases * Manage and administer continuous improvements related to packaging * Maintenance of PFEP related to packaging **Technical Knowledge and Skills** * Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical concepts. * Interpersonal skills to positively affect measurable results. * Knowledge of FDA or ISO related to packaging and labeling, which guarantees the validation of robust and efficient packaging. * Organizational skills to solve technical problems. * Extensive knowledge of packaging, material compatibility, and development\-related technologies. * Knowledge of filling, protection, and cargo\-securing techniques. * Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD. **Physical requirements:** * Plant environments in plastics and vinyl manufacturing, offices in general. * Frequent lifting of boxes or packages that weigh from 12 to 20 kg. * Requires occasional trips to other sites, vendors, conferences, meetings, etc. **Environment:** * Limited exposure to unpleasant elements. * Example: bad weather (sun, dust, wet packaging, etc.)
