Job Summary: We are seeking a General Accountant with solid experience in financial and tax accounting, responsible for ensuring accurate recording of transactions and compliance with statutory obligations. Requires advanced experience with CONTPAQi and Mexican tax legislation. General Accountant — CONTPAQi Expert **Location:** Querétaro, Qro. (on-site) **Salary:** between $20,000 MXN and $25,000 MXN net per month **Position Type:** Full-time **Department:** Accounting / Tax Purpose of the Position We seek a **General Accountant** with solid experience in financial and tax accounting in Mexico, responsible for ensuring accurate recording of accounting transactions, timely compliance with obligations before the SAT (Mexican Tax Administration Service), and comprehensive support during internal and external audit processes. The ideal candidate must possess **advanced proficiency in CONTPAQi**, a strong sense of responsibility, and a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities * Recording, classification, and reconciliation of accounting journal entries in **CONTPAQi** * Preparation of general accounting records and monthly/annual closings * Calculation, review, and filing of federal and state taxes * Compliance with tax obligations before the **SAT** * Preparation of working papers for internal and external audits * Responding to requests and reviews by tax authorities * Bank and accounting reconciliations * Control and monitoring of accounts payable and accounts receivable * Compilation and analysis of trial balances * Support in improving accounting and tax processes * Validation of issued and received CFDIs (Comprobantes Fiscales Digitales por Internet) * Control of accounting provisions Essential Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in **Public Accounting** (degree holder) * Minimum of **3 to 5 years** of relevant experience in a similar role * **Advanced proficiency in CONTPAQi (mandatory)** * Demonstrable experience in: * General accounting * Tax calculation * Tax return preparation * Procedures before the SAT * Accounting closings * Audits * Intermediate to advanced **Excel** skills * Up-to-date knowledge of Mexican tax legislation * Residence in Querétaro or willingness to work on-site Key Competencies * High level of organization and follow-up * Meticulous attention to detail * Analytical thinking * Proactivity and sense of urgency * Professional ethics and confidentiality * Ability to work under pressure and meet tax deadlines What We Offer * Statutory benefits * Job stability * Professional and collaborative work environment * Growth opportunities Position Type: Full-time, indefinite-term contract Salary: $20,000.00 – $25,000.00 per month Benefits: * Salary increases * Employee discounts * Company parking * Free parking * Flexible working hours Workplace: On-site employment
