**Extrusion\-Compounding Process Engineer** **Responsibilities:** * To support the Industrial and Validations Engineer as well as the production personnel in the activities related to the extrusion and compounding processes**.** * Search, develop, and implement new technologies to improve Development of Extrusion\-Compounding areas. * To identify and minimize issues related to the process to reduce the levels of waste in the Extrusion\-Compounding areas. * Perform engineering studies Related to root cause investigations, processes characterization, as well as evaluations in Extrusion\-Compounding processes. * Provide support to Extrusion\-Compounding department in elaboration and modification of documents. * To train the Extrusion\-Compounding maintenance personnel on the new equipment and improvements before delivering the equipment for normal production. * Ensure that the extrusion processes is performed within validated parameters fulfilling the specifications required by product, and that all production is done in accordance with quality standards with strict adherence to procedures established in the company and to the GMP’s. * Supervise and participation in the organization of Extrusion Technicians in the activities related to process. * Direct participation in validation processes in Extrusion and Compounding areas. * Verification of records Related to direct activities of process. * Start up and adjustment of extruder machines. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s in mechanical, Chemical or Electronic Engineering. * Wide technical experience in development of procedures, specifications, drawings, validations, and other documents as required. * Bilingual (English/Spanish). * Knowledge of mechanical design. * Quality Tools (Cause\-and\-effect Diagram, Pareto, Control Chart, etc.) * Computer skills: Microsoft Software (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.) * Knowledge of PVC resin specifications in plastic areas. * Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. * Proactive personality * Availability to work in any work schedule (Day, night, or weekends)
