Seeking a skilled Data Analyst with hands-on experience using Databricks to extract, analyze, and transform large datasets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into clear data specifications, developing insightful dashboards, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization. This role requires strong SQL and data modeling skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams. Key Responsibilities * Data Extraction and Analysis: Pull data from the Databricks data warehouse using complex SQL queries and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. * Reporting and Visualization: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Databricks' native visualization tools, Power BI, or other business intelligence (BI) platforms. * Data Transformation: Work with data engineers to ensure data is transformed and modeled for analysis. This includes creating data mappings and building "Gold-layer" data products that are ready for consumption. * Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, gather requirements, and communicate findings and technical concepts effectively. * Data Quality and Governance: Participate in data validation processes and contribute to best practices for data quality and governance, leveraging features like Databricks Unity Catalog. * Optimization: Assist in optimizing SQL queries and data processes for improved performance and efficiency. * Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation for data models, dashboards, and analytical findings. Required Skills and Qualifications * Experience with Databricks: Proven hands-on experience using the Databricks platform in an enterprise environment. * Proficiency in SQL: Strong ability to write complex and efficient SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. * Data Visualization: Experience creating and maintaining dashboards and reports with tools such as Power BI or Databricks SQL. * Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy. * Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical findings to a non-technical audience. * Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications * Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP where Databricks is deployed. * Experience with dimensional modeling or other data modeling techniques. * Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate certification.
