This position will act as a strategic leader overseeing and coordinating the company's internal audit activities, analyzing its operations, evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of manuals and policies, identifying opportunities and areas for improvement. The role will also be responsible for proposing the design of the internal audit approach for assessing financial statement balances, key operational controls, process-level and organizational risk assessments, controls related to data integrity, end-user applications, anti-money laundering, and conflict of interest. What will I do? * Lead operational and technological risk management by evaluating policies and processes, defining the audit universe, and developing the annual audit plan based on risk assessments. * Manage the execution of internal audits, ensuring compliance with scope, timelines, and quality standards, supervising teams, reviewing findings, and action plans. * Build risk maps, identify exposures, control points, and automation opportunities to improve audit efficiency. * Develop effective audit work programs, define appropriate testing criteria, and evaluate the adequacy of implemented controls. * Coordinate with external auditors on regulatory compliance testing and ensure work papers and reports meet internal standards. * Draft and present audit reports to management, overseeing proper implementation and follow-up of action plans. * Promote an integrated process approach, generate synergies across departments, and stay updated on emerging technologies and their application in controls and data classification. Ideal Candidate * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. * More than 6 years of experience in a similar role within a financial institution or fintech, leading audit projects in risk areas relevant to the organization. * Advanced English proficiency required. * Proven experience in designing and executing audit tests using a risk-based approach, data analytics, RPA, among others. * Experience in designing and executing audits under a risk-based approach.
