Job Responsibilities: * Administer and maintain infrastructure on **IBM Cloud** (IaaS). * Configure and operate **Virtual Server Instances (VSI)**, **VPC**, **subnets**, **security groups**, and routing. * Manage storage: Block Storage, File Storage, Cloud Object Storage (COS). * Cybersecurity: Apply hardening, security policies, and access controls. * Implement and maintain **high availability and disaster recovery**. * Configure and administer **load balancers** and traffic routing rules. * Monitor performance, availability, and cost optimization. * Handle infrastructure-related incidents at any level. * Monitor infrastructure and application performance. * Perform backups and restoration testing. * Manage configuration changes. * Manage **backups, patches, and system updates**, as well as operating systems. * Manage user accounts. * Database administration. * Document departmental activities: System IT activities, Platform, Architectures, Procedures, Configurations. * Automate as many processes as possible to facilitate users’ work. Requirements: * IBM Cloud Console and **IBM Cloud CLI** * **Resource Groups, IAM, roles, and policies management** * Operating systems (Linux, CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu). * Application performance monitoring (APM), such as: * Site24x7 * NewRelic * IBM Cloud Monitoring or others * Backup creation (databases, server AMIs, etc.) and restoration testing. * **Terraform** for IBM Cloud. * Cybersecurity. * Security groups. * OS updates. * Cipher suites. * SSL certificates. * Password updates. * System hardening principles. * Key and secret management. * Handling system failures and outages. * Reviewing and responding to infrastructure alerts. * Docker. * Scripting language (Bash). * Infrastructure and application vulnerability analysis, scanning, and mitigation. * Cloud Computing (IBM). * Database Administrator (DBA). * Setting up new environments for applications (Alpha, Beta, Demo, Production). * Documentation updates. * Knowledge of Code Engine.
