




Job Summary: The Mobile Android Research and Development Engineer designs solutions, improves processes, and develops control and commercial tools for the LP Gas distribution industry. The Mobile Android-focused Research and Development Engineer is part of an interdisciplinary team aimed at generating solutions, improving processes, and developing new control, administrative, and commercial tools tailored to meet the needs of the LP Gas distribution industry. The mobile developer specializing in the Android platform must possess solid expertise in native Kotlin/Java development, as well as experience confidently utilizing tools such as Android Studio—with emphasis on usability and user experience (UI/UX). This profile’s multidisciplinary nature is reflected in frequent interaction with field engineers, as well as teams involved in administrative system development, cross-platform mobile development, hardware development, manufacturing, component and electronic device supply chain management, and software vendors. Their primary role and scope of work involves researching and integrating industrial and commercial technologies into existing mobile applications, as well as developing and technologically updating industrial mobile applications based on the Android operating system—custom-built with integrated electronic devices and software—for commercial use and measurement systems. Requirements: Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of: - Native programming under the Android operating system: Kotlin / Java; Mobile-First interface design philosophy. - Object-oriented programming, design patterns, software architecture, version control, refactoring, unit testing. Desirable knowledge and experience in: - Concurrent development using Android Services, inter-process communication, and Android Interface Definition Language (AIDL). - Integration with Android APIs developed on other platforms, such as Xamarin and .NET MAUI, and Java Native Interface (JNI). Skills and interests: - Ability to read technical documents and API specifications; ability to write design documentation and technical solution specifications. - Self-directed learning capability and aptitude for researching solutions for new developments. - Willingness to learn and collaborate across diverse programming environments. - Preparedness to work toward clearly defined goals and established deadlines.
