Learn more at www.averydennison.com. **Job Description** **POSITION OBJECTIVE** Designs operational area processes to ensure their efficient and safe operation, along with implementing these processes by developing procedures, work instructions, tools, fixtures, templates, and/or equipment to achieve objectives. **RESPONSIBILITIES THAT MAY INCLUDE:** * Assume responsibilities and tasks assigned by immediate supervisor and fulfill them satisfactorily. * Balance workloads (time used, etc.) * Knowledge of workstation ergonomics. * Application of continuous improvement methodologies (Just in time, kanban, lean, etc.) * Knowledge of Industry 4\.0 * Basic Autocad usage. * Statistical knowledge. * Knowledge of MRP / Oracle. * Responsible for manufacturing KPIs. * Maintain workplace organized and clean. * Actively participate in improving the Quality/Safety and Environment Management System according to procedures and instructions, as well as share, understand, and comply with the Quality/Safety and Environment Policy. * Design process flow to ensure proper flow of raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished product, always seeking to optimize the plant's physical space, as well as designing a manufacturing process that enables efficient production while optimizing the use of human and material resources through lean manufacturing techniques. * Define fixtures, tools, templates, poka\-yokes, equipment, etc., that enable a robust process ensuring product quality. * Document processes, tools, customer drawings, specifications, and any customer requirements through work instructions, procedures, checklists, etc., as necessary, according to the plant's quality system guidelines. * Coordinate team efforts in conducting product failure modes analysis, and work jointly with the Quality Engineer to ensure necessary actions are taken to meet requirements, redesigning or updating any of the above points as needed. * Provide support to operational areas in problem resolution and method definition. * Execute cost reduction projects (downtime, material optimization, labor reduction, etc.) and quality improvement projects (defect reduction, cost of poor quality, etc.). * Other directions assigned by immediate supervisor. * Practical preparation of samples * Perform basic calculations regarding machine capabilities and create required documentation * Support a positive safety culture to ensure production lines meet all health and safety requirements * Conduct process failure analysis and clear root cause investigation * Perform work according to standard work methods regarding safety and quality. * Follow internal work regulations and company-established safety requirements. * Comply with and promote Avery Dennison's ethics and values policy. * Apply and promote 5S in the work area. * If part of any company brigade and/or committee, must fulfill corresponding activities. **Requirements** **WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM THE POSITION** * Completed degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics or Electromechanical, RF Electronics or related fields). * 2\-3 years of work experience (flexographic process). * Systematic problem-solving thinking. * Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment. * Personnel management. * Minimum 80% English proficiency * Minimum 3 years in a similar position with availability to rotate among 3\-4 shifts. * Excellent communication skills at all levels * Decision-making ability * Knowledge of APQP. * High communication capability across all organizational levels. * Effective communication (oral and written in English and Spanish) * Teamwork as leader or team member. * Self-directed. * Goal-oriented. * Risk-based thinking. **Additional Information** WHY JOIN US? * Opportunity to lead and innovate in a global company. * Collaborative and inclusive work environment. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Professional development and career growth opportunities.
