Personnel management and trial coordination ### **Information** Contract Type:**Full-time** Salary:**$21,280 to $30,400 MXN \-** Weekly Category: **Agriculture**Education:**Engineering**### **Description** We are seeking a licensed Agricultural Engineer with experience in cherry tomato, vegetable, aromatic herb, and specialty crop production, and knowledge of protected and organic cultivation. We seek a licensed Agricultural Engineer. Valid Class C driver’s license required. Seed receipt and inventory management. * Plans and carries out crossing programs in the nursery. * Sows test materials. * Coordinates trial implementation. * Verifies that the reported hectares per producer are transplanted in the field for each crop. * Collaborates with the Production Team to incorporate field observations into weekly box projections in the Weekly report. Machinery and Equipment. Supports the Training Department in calibrating sprinklers, as well as in machinery and equipment maintenance and repair. Fertility Management. * Samples soils at the beginning of each year to develop a fertility plan with the engineering team. * Applies fertilizers according to the production plan, in coordination with the engineering team. Expense and Cost Control. * Monitors appropriate use of inputs and irrigation materials. * Participates annually in preparation of the annual budget. Personnel Management. * Communicates weekly harvest projections with the Production Manager. * Promotes an appropriate work environment to prevent conflicts. * Conducts BUMA training and calibration for staff responsible for pest and disease control applications. Reporting: * Reports pests and diseases for each production unit. * Records weekly input application logs. * Provides written recommendations and technical agricultural assistance to producers. * Submits weekly reports on the basil fan project, both in tunnels and open fields. * Documents evidence of each visit to production units. Monitoring: * Monitors populations of beneficial and harmful insects in the field and provides appropriate recommendations. * Monitors presence and development of diseases and provides appropriate recommendations. * Monitors application efficiency. * Ensures compliance with NOP and GHP standards during each visit by completing the inspection report form. Sanitation and Hygiene: Adheres to Good Agricultural Practices procedures.
