




Job Summary: We are seeking a Junior Data Scientist to design, analyze, and optimize credit policies through the development of statistical models and scorecards, ensuring sustainable portfolio growth. (100% on-site position) **Job Objectives:** Design, analyze, and optimize origination and risk assessment policies for credit card products by developing statistical models and scorecards. Your role will be critical in ensuring sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining risk control and profitability. **Requirements:** * Intermediate–advanced English (technical documentation and regional collaboration preferred). * Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or related field. * Minimum 1 year of applied data science experience in the financial sector. * Credit modeling for credit cards (acquisition and behavioral scoring). * Definition or adjustment of credit policies. * Risk and portfolio performance analysis. * Model validation in compliance with regulations (CNBV, IFRS 9, etc. preferred). **Knowledge:** * Programming languages: Python, SQL, R (SAS preferred). (Intermediate level) * Knowledge of statistical modeling, cross-validation, class balancing, and risk metrics. * Visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib/seaborn * Familiarity with banking data environments, transactional structures, and credit behavior **Responsibilities:** * Define and update credit policies for credit cards (origination, credit line, usage, behavior). * Develop scoring models (acquisition, behavioral, propensity, fraud) using statistical and machine learning techniques. * Conduct risk analysis, impact simulations, and model validation across the full credit lifecycle. * Monitor key risk KPIs: approval rates, default rates, lines granted, expected costs, and probable losses. * Generate analytical recommendations to adjust strategies based on observed behavior and portfolio evolution. * Design A/B tests and experimentation to validate new policies or segmentation adjustments. * Collaborate closely with Product, Origination, Collections, Data Engineering, and IT teams. * Document models, assumptions, and results for regulatory compliance and internal controls. **We Offer:** * Salary starting from $40,000 * Profit-sharing * Savings fund * Maternity and paternity support * Health insurance * Medium-term career growth Employment type: Full-time Salary: Starting from $40,000.00 per month Application question(s): * How many years of experience do you have in the financial sector? * What is your proficiency level in Python and SQL? * What is your English proficiency level?
