Position Summary: Supervises and coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance of the fleet to ensure vehicle availability, safety, and efficiency. Key Highlights: 1. Diesel repair diagnosis and quality control **Position: Workshop Manager** **Department: Maintenance / Operations** **Reports to: Operations Manager / Fleet Director** **Location: Escobedo, N.L.** **Position Objective** Ensure proper operation, preventive and corrective maintenance of the vehicle fleet (tractor-trailers, trailers, and allied equipment), guaranteeing vehicle availability, safety, and efficiency, as well as maintenance cost optimization. **Position Requirements** **Education:** · Mechanical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering, or related technical degree. **Experience:** · Minimum 3–5 years in a similar role. · Experience in freight transportation companies (mandatory). · Tractor-trailer fleet management experience (fifth-wheel). **Technical Knowledge:** · Diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, etc.) · Electrical and electronic systems · Diagnostic scanning · Trailer and brake system maintenance · Inventory and spare parts control **Key Responsibilities** · Supervise and coordinate mechanical workshop activities. · Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs. · Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures in diesel units. · Control repair times to avoid operational downtime. · Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables. · Coordinate technical personnel (mechanics, electricians, assistants). · Validate quality of completed repairs. · Manage external suppliers and specialized services. · Track maintenance costs and optimize resources. · Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards. · Maintain up-to-date maintenance records per unit. · Respond to on-road mechanical emergencies (as applicable). **Skills and Competencies** · Leadership and personnel management · Planning and organization · Decision-making · Problem-solving · Working under pressure · Results-oriented mindset · Effective communication **Performance Indicators (KPIs)** · Fleet availability · Average repair time (TAT) · Preventive maintenance compliance · Reduction of on-road failures · Maintenance cost control **We Offer** · Monthly salary of $30,000 to $35,000 · Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–6:00 PM; Saturdays until 1:00 PM · Availability for emergencies · Yard/workshop-based work · Statutory benefits Interested candidates must submit an updated professional CV in PDF format.
