This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem\-solving within a manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities * Assist in the sourcing and selection of suppliers for raw materials, components, and services, ensuring adherence to quality and cost objectives. * Prepare and issue purchase orders, track order status, and manage delivery schedules to support production requirements. * Maintain accurate procurement records, including vendor information, pricing, and contract details, utilizing Microsoft Excel and other internal systems. * Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal departments to resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing. * Participate in negotiation processes with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing for goods and services. * Contribute to the development and implementation of effective Decision\-Making Strategies for procurement activities. * Apply Analytical Decision Making to evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement. * Utilize Group Problem Solving techniques to address procurement challenges and optimize processes. * Support the Management of Employees within the procurement department, potentially assisting with training or guidance. * Manage and prioritize a diverse Workload Prioritization, adapting to changing demands and deadlines. * Develop and maintain strong Interpersonal Communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors. * Apply Conflict Management skills to resolve disagreements and foster positive working relationships. * Understand and navigate the complexities of Business Organizations relevant to procurement. * Actively engage in Parts Sourcing initiatives to ensure a consistent and cost\-effective supply chain. **Required Skills and Education** Job Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. * 3\-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support, preferably within a manufacturing setting. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. * Demonstrated ability in Analytical Decision Making and problem\-solving. * Strong Interpersonal Communication and negotiation skills. * Proven ability to manage Workload Prioritization effectively. * Experience with or understanding of Business Organizations and their impact on procurement. * Familiarity with Conflict Management techniques. * Knowledge of Parts Sourcing processes. * Ability to contribute to Group Problem Solving. * Understanding of Decision\-Making Strategies in a business context. * Experience with or exposure to Management of Employees is a plus. * Advanced conversational English **About AAM:** As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
