Lead Operator \- Operations Leader As a Lead Operator at Watlow, you will be responsible for coordinating daily production activities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and leading the operations team to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. We are seeking an individual with technical manufacturing experience, leadership skills, and a strong results orientation—capable of solving problems, training others, and promoting a safe and collaborative work environment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Coordinate and monitor the daily production plan, ensuring quality and safety. * Lead and train the operations team on processes, standards, and continuous improvement. * Ensure compliance with standard work, 5S, SOPs, and Andon. * Identify and resolve technical issues related to processes, equipment, and products. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen. **Requirements:** Education and Experience * Technical degree or related field (preferred). * 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in metal-mechanical industries. * Prior leadership training or experience supervising unionized personnel. Technical Knowledge * Proficiency in 2 or 3 manufacturing processes (e.g., TIG welding, presses, compactors, winding, surface finishing, laser marking, and/or lathes). * Ability to interpret engineering drawings. * Knowledge of flexible manufacturing cells and handling multiple components. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
