Collaborate across teams including Product Development and DevOps **Important Information** Experience: \+10 years Job Mode: Full\-time Work Mode: Remote ID: 20189 **Job Summary** We are seeking a Data Engineering Lead with a proven track record in the design, development, maintenance, and operation of scalable, high\-performance data technology platforms including both conventional and modern database and data engineering systems and pipelines. This is a hands\-on technical leadership position which includes developing data technologies while managing, leading, and developing an international engineering team. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Leads, directs and manages the Data Engineering Team and its strategic, tactical and operational activities. * Coordinates, leads and actively participates in all Data Engineering projects, including technical requirements gathering, resource allocation, design and documentation, scheduling, development, implementation, task tracking, and status reporting. * Collaborates closely and regularly with the other teams, including Product Development, Project Management, Front\-End, Back\-End and Quality Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Customer Service. * Designs, develops and maintains data technology strategy, architecture and code, and leads other data engineers by example. * Helps develop, maintain and enforce the company's software development tools and standards, and conducts design and code reviews on a regular basis to improve quality and ensure compliance. **Qualifications and Skills** * Expert\-level skills and experience architecting, designing, developing, and supporting complex, scalable, high\-traffic, and high\-availability data architectures based primarily on PostgreSQL and to a lesser extent, SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL. * Experience in query optimization, performance tuning, ETL data processing pipelines, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data * Experience with cloud\-based data technology solutions including RDS, RedShift, Athena, and Elasticsearch. * Experience with NoSQL Technologies such as MongoDB is a plus. * Experience leading, building and managing teams with decision making responsibilities. * Experience with the Agile Development Process and related tools. * Strong experience with CI/CD Tools and Systems such as Jenkins, Hudson, GitLab, GitHub, etc. **About Encora** Encora is a global company that offers Software and Digital Engineering solutions.
