




Position Summary: The Additive Manufacturing Programmer II will design and implement software guidelines for SLM machines, ensuring quality and efficiency in metal additive manufacturing. Development and maintenance of technical documentation. The Additive Manufacturing Programmer II will design and implement software guidelines that instruct SLM machines to fabricate parts, ensuring maximum quality and efficiency in metal additive manufacturing processes. **Minimum Requirements:** * 2–3 years of hands-on experience with CAD software and 3D modeling (Siemens NX or SolidWorks preferred). * Experience in programming or operating 3D printers (SLM/DMLS preferred). * Knowledge of CAD, CAM, and additive manufacturing software (e.g., Add Up Manager, Materialize Magics, 3D Systems 3D Sprint) preferred. * 1–2 years of CAM experience (Siemens NX, SmartCam, or MasterCam preferred). * Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. * Ability to produce technical documentation and proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Fluency in English, with effective reading and writing skills. **Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:** * Advanced understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD\&T) principles. * Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. * Capability to independently troubleshoot and resolve programming issues. * Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and developing detailed inspection protocols. * Analytical ability to optimize manufacturing processes and maintain complex procedures. **Essential Functions:** * Prepare and update 3D files for printing in NX/SolidWorks. * Use software (Add Up Manager) to arrange parts on the build platform, considering size, orientation, supports, and thermal dynamics. * Implement algorithms to improve print quality and process efficiency. * Coordinate with production planners to integrate build programs into manufacturing schedules. * Analyze print failures or inefficiencies and propose solutions or adjustments. * Systematically manage job closure and file maintenance. * Compile and maintain documentation for SLM program development. * Create EDM programs for part removal from the build platform. * Support the stamping department in part modifications, customization, and tool design. **Physical Demands:** * Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. **Work Environment:** * Professional office setting with climate control. * Use of standard office equipment and regular business hours. * Low to moderate noise levels; minimal exposure to physical hazards. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** * None **How to Apply:** Please submit your resume and cover letter via Indeed.
