***Position Objective:*** The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily production activities, ensuring that quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met. This role includes personnel management, monitoring of production processes, and implementation of continuous improvements. ***Main Responsibilities:*** * **Conduct shift start-up meetings every day** * Personnel attendance list * Summary of the previous day * Daily or shift goals * Safety and precautionary measures * Quality and customer requirements * Ensure compliance with welding procedures (WPS) and applicable standards (AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.). * Verify that weld beads meet established quality standards. * Coordinate welding tests and welder qualifications. * Control and validate correct welding parameter settings (voltage, amperage, travel speed, shielding gas, etc.). * Review and understand part drawings, specifications, and work orders before releasing production. * Ensure proper use and preventive maintenance of welding equipment. * Report progress, incidents, defects, and rework to the quality and production departments. * Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for welding defects. * Planning and tracking of production control; prepare and manage daily production reports, ensuring delivery deadlines are met. * Daily production report * Welding checklist (Customer quality) * Work area logbook * Quality Control: Monitor the production process to ensure quality standards are maintained and conduct periodic audits. * Resource Management: Ensure proper use of materials and equipment, minimizing waste and optimizing costs. * Training: Provide training and guidance to new and ongoing staff, promoting a safe and productive work environment. * Reporting: Prepare and present production reports, including performance metrics and improvement suggestions to the Production Manager. * Report safety and environmental incidents to the immediate supervisor. * Know and apply the plant's emergency response plan. * Be aware of the environmental aspects/impacts of their work area, station, or department. * Attend scheduled quality and environmental training sessions. ***Requirements*** Education: University degree in Industrial Engineering, Production, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within a production environment. Knowledge: Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and quality management tools. Technical Skills: Knowledge of production machinery and technology, interpretation of technical drawings of parts to be welded. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. ***Competencies*** Ability to make decisions under pressure. Skill in conflict resolution and motivating personnel.
