Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.**Job Responsibilities:** **Job Objective** Define and ensure assembly processes and equipment for actuator and complete mirror lines through standardized work, documentation, and implementation of controls to satisfy customer requirements, consistently driving process performance and quality upgrades and continuous improvement. **Main Responsibilities:** * Define, implement, and document all assembly processes and equipment for actuators and rearview mirrors required to produce parts meeting or exceeding customer specifications. * Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies such as A3, Pareto, PPSR, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, and/or DMAIC; plan and execute continuous improvement initiatives for actuator and rearview mirror assembly processes to reduce scrap, increase productivity according to BAAN-defined/quoted targets, and ensure assembly processes produce parts meeting or exceeding quality requirements. * Develop and maintain up-to-date Work Instructions and Visual Aids, Layouts, Visual Aids, Poka\-Yoke and Zebra lists, Process Flow, FMEA, and Reverse FMEA in response to process changes and/or improvements. * Notify affected departments regarding impacted documents due to such changes. * Improve OEE for assembly lines to guarantee production capacity and workforce efficiency: * Ensuring equipment availability and performance. * Enhancing performance by line balancing (Work Balance Chart) to eliminate bottlenecks. * Timely and effective resolution of quality complaints and warranty issues to meet customer specifications. * Achieve MAFACT score targets to eliminate “muda” waste and improve manufacturing at lower cost. * Develop reliable backups for equipment such as vision systems, PLCs, HMIs, screwdrivers, etc., to support programming/configurations, facilitate technical support, and enable new integrations. * Provide full support to Maintenance Department for recurring or prolonged failures to reduce and prevent downtime, rework, and reprocessing. * Collaborate in developing preventive maintenance plans and spare parts inventory for equipment. Additionally, provide user guides, configuration documents, or knowledge base materials to support technical teams on assembly lines. * Design/ optimize/ coordinate/ implement equipment/ fixtures/ racks meeting requirements for actuator and rearview mirror assembly, incorporating safety and ergonomics in application, encouraging operators to work within their Golden Zone. * Fully support Human Resources in operational training programs and keep training programs updated. * Act as a participative liaison with Quality, Production, Program Management, Product Engineering, and Continuous Improvement departments for new product development. **Education and Experience** * Completed undergraduate degree in mechatronics, electronics and automation, or related field. * Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role managing automotive manufacturing processes in assembly cells or lines. * Conversational English. **Required Competencies** * Proficiency in fixture development and implementation. * Knowledge of poka-yoke systems and error-proofing techniques. * Understanding of electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. * Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams. * Proficiency with computer software packages including Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and AutoCAD. * Familiarity with manufacturing cells. * Knowledge and application of flowcharts and FMEA. * Leadership ability. * Negotiation skills and customer service orientation. * Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and industrial networks. * Experience with Cognex and Keyence vision systems. * Knowledge of ergonomics, time studies, 5S, SPC, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001\. **Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:** ---------------------------------- At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
