Job Summary: A pharmacy assistant who provides customer service, sells pharmaceutical products, prepares prescriptions, and manages inventory. Key Responsibilities: 1. Customer service and health counseling 2. Prescription preparation and regulatory compliance 3. Sales generation and record keeping 1. Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful service to customers by answering their questions, advising them on products, and offering recommendations. 2. Sale of Pharmaceutical Products: Assist customers in locating over-the-counter (OTC) medications and related health products, explaining how to use them and providing information on dosage and possible side effects. 3. Prescription Preparation: Prepare medical prescriptions following established guidelines and regulations, and provide instructions on proper medication usage. 4. Inventory Management: Ensure products are properly stored and labeled, and maintain up-to-date inventory records. May also assist with stock management and product restocking. 5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the pharmacy complies with all governmental regulations and internal pharmacy policies regarding the sale and distribution of medications. 6. Health Counseling: Provide information on health products, vitamins, supplements, and other health-related items, and advise customers on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. 7. Promotion of Offers and Discounts: Inform customers about promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs offered by the pharmacy. 8. Transaction Handling: Process product sales, accept payments, and issue receipts. May also be responsible for handling cash and recording transactions. 9. Order Tracking: Assist customers in placing special orders for products not available in-store and track order arrival and delivery. 10. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transactions, prescriptions, and customer orders, as well as records of expired products and returns. 11. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care. 12. Product Knowledge: Stay current on pharmaceutical and health products, as well as market developments, to provide customers with the most up-to-date information. 13.
