Budget Assistant – Carpentry and Furniture Projects
Job Objective
Ensure accurate **budget planning, preparation, and control** for carpentry projects, guaranteeing **project profitability, resource optimization, and on-time delivery**.
Responsibilities
* Prepare **detailed budgets** for carpentry projects (furniture, structures, and finishes).
* Analyze **material costs**, including wood, hardware, varnishes, and adhesives.
* Evaluate and compare **suppliers to optimize costs**.
* Monitor **variances between estimated budget and actual expenditure**.
* Generate **financial and progress reports** for management or clients.
* Collaborate with **designers and master carpenters** to adjust technical specifications.
* Propose **cost-optimization strategies** without compromising product quality.
Requirements
**Education**
* Bachelor’s degree in **Architecture, Industrial Engineering, or related field**.
* Courses or certifications in **cost analysis, budgeting, or project management** (preferred).
**Experience**
* Minimum **2 years of experience in budgeting**, preferably in **carpentry, construction, or manufacturing**.
**Technical Knowledge**
* Familiarity with **carpentry materials and market pricing**.
* Proficiency in **advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic macros)**.
* Experience with **budgeting software or ERP systems**.
* Ability to **interpret blueprints and technical specifications**.
