Bending Machine Operator

Description

Job Summary: Set up and operate CNC press brake to shape sheet metal components, ensuring process accuracy and repeatability while meeting specified tolerances. Key Responsibilities: 1. Interpret engineering drawings and program the bending machine for metal forming 2. Perform in-process quality control and basic machine maintenance 3. Authority to stop production if parts fall out of specification Set up and operate the CNC press brake (bending machine) to shape sheet metal components according to angles, radii, and dimensions specified in engineering drawings, ensuring process accuracy and repeatability. Duties: * \-Interpret engineering drawings to understand bending sequence, angles, and dimensions. * \-Select, install, and align appropriate tooling (punches and dies) * Program the machine (at the machine or by loading programs), setting angles, stops, and sequences. * Produce and measure a test part, then make adjustments for release. * Operate the machine safely and efficiently * Perform in-process quality control on produced parts * Conduct basic autonomous machine maintenance Responsibilities: * Responsible for producing parts that meet angular and dimensional tolerances specified in drawings. * Responsible for operational safety, ensuring proper functioning of safety sensors. * Responsible for proper care and maintenance of assigned tooling and machinery. * Responsible for reporting any process failures or inconsistencies. Authorities: * Authorized to stop production if parts fall out of specification. * Authorized to request sharpening or replacement of damaged tools. Job Requirements: * Education: High school diploma or technical/vocational training * Experience: Minimum 2 years operating CNC press brakes * Knowledge: Engineering drawing interpretation, metrology (use of protractor, vernier caliper), bending tooling knowledge * Skills: Attention to detail, mathematical aptitude, concentration (Salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience) Employment Type: Full-time, Indefinite-term contract Salary: $11,800\.00 \- $12,000\.00 per month Benefits: * Salary increases * Company parking * Flexible working hours * Option for indefinite-term contract * Complimentary uniforms Work Location: On-site employment
