Position Summary: A technical position responsible for designing and detailing complex plastic components and assemblies using CAD tools, while supporting design progress and continuous improvement. Use of advanced CAD tools (NX or CATIA) **Automotive Company Located in Colinas de Silao** **Design Engineering (Engineering Designer)** **OBJECTIVE** * This is a technical position involving the design and detailing of complex plastic components and assemblies using CAD tools. Initial direction may originate from specifications, sketches, models, prototypes, or verbal communications. Supports the Design Manager and Technical Manager in quotations, DFA, FMEA, design progress evaluation, and continuous improvement of design standards. Participates in KBPD procedures. **RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES** * Design assemblies and subcomponents using computer-aided design workstations to produce world-class injection-molded interior plastic components. * Actively participate in design feasibility stages and use DFA and FMEA to jointly formulate initial design direction with the team. * Create CAD files with proper file organization. * Attend meetings as appropriate, including but not limited to: customers, mold shops, manufacturing, engineering, sales, laboratory, and fixturing. * Support the Design Manager in reviewing functionality, reliability, manufacturability, fixturing, and ease of assembly for specific design programs. * Comply with environmental policy and applicable quality and environmental management system instructions.
