**Job Description** Controls Engineer Summary: Experienced Controls Engineer to join our team at General Motors de México. This position is crucial for optimizing and maintaining control systems in our manufacturing facilities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality in our production processes. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and implement control systems for new production lines and improvements to existing ones, applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles. * Conduct failure mode analyses (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks in control systems and processes. * Develop and maintain intuitive and efficient human\-machine interfaces (HMI) for equipment operation and monitoring. * Apply Process Engineering methodologies to optimize operation sequences and equipment performance. * Lead and actively participate in the implementation and compliance of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure personnel safety during maintenance. * Utilize Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify and eliminate waste, improving efficiency and production flow. * Actively contribute to the implementation and maintenance of Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles across all operations. * Participate in Personnel Management, providing technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams. * Solve complex problems related to control systems using a structured and analytical approach. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful integration of control systems. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation and Control, or related field. * Demonstrable experience in Failure Mode Analysis and its application in manufacturing environments. * Practical experience with Lockout/Tagout procedures. * Experience working with Allen Bradley PLCs. * Experience with CIMPLICITY systems. * Experience handling DeviceNet \& Ethernet communication protocols, RIO\+. * Proven skills in Personnel Management and leadership of technical teams. * Proficiency and application of GMS principles. * Solid experience in Process Engineering and workflow optimization. * Experience in designing, developing, and implementing Human\-Machine Interface (HMI) using TIA PORTAL. * Ability to perform Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and apply results for continuous improvement. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. * Fluency in English (written and spoken). * “Availability to work rotating shifts (4x3 and 5x2\) If you require any reasonable accommodation to continue your selection process, inform your recruiter.
