The position follows a hybrid work model (2–3 days on-site depending on the project), based at the BBVA Corporate Tower. **Main Responsibilities** * Comprehensive support in development, analysis, and technical solution design initiatives. * Detailed project tracking and constant interaction with various departments involved in the software lifecycle. * Preparation of work plans and timely execution of tasks. * Active participation in COBOL-based development initiatives and End-to-End (E2E) project execution. **Job Challenges** The primary challenge of this role is to effectively collaborate with multiple systems areas to achieve technical objectives within defined timelines, maintaining a proactive attitude and self-directed learning capability to lead complex developments in hybrid technology environments. **Requirements** **Knowledge and Experience** **Essential Knowledge:** * Proficiency in COBOL development (Batch, CICS, and Line). * Experience using scheduling tools such as Control-M. * Technical experience with file transfers using Connect:Direct. * Solid knowledge of DB2 databases. * Proven experience in Java development. **Desirable Knowledge:** * Certifications or knowledge of Agile frameworks. * Additional technical certifications in Java, COBOL, or CICS. **Education:** * Completed Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Systems, or related technology fields. **Experience:** * 1–2 years of proven End-to-End development experience with COBOL and Java, specifically for commercial-area platforms and their deployment. **Key Competencies** * **Continuous Learning** * **Execution Focus** * **Effective Communication** * **One Team Mindset** **Value Proposition:** Our employees are the engine of BBVA, and we take their well-being very seriously.
