Leading company providing plastic injection and product assembly services to national and international companies, **SEEKING A PROJECT ENGINEER.** **Position Purpose:** Carry out the APQP process for new products and engineering launches, as well as document control of the process, ensuring customer requirements and validations are met on time and in full. **LANGUAGE: INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED ENGLISH** **Work Experience (Areas, Departments, Functions):** * Development of new projects up to handover to the production area, and subsequently to the production area after customer approval, following the APQP methodology. * Review and submission of part specifications for mold manufacturing. * Receive manufacturer proposals, analyze designs, and implement corrections. * Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for first-piece validation testing to present to the customer. * Ensure project timing is met. * Escalate any issue that risks deliverables to the customer. * Coordinate internal and customer project review meetings through a LOP. * Coordinate required engineering changes during project development. * Deliver APQP folder with 100% phase closures. * Achieve 100% on-time and in-full launches. * Process FMEA Leader. * Develop control methods for new product realization. * In coordination with Sales, conduct periodic reviews to ensure the project margin remains within the established target. * Ensure project objectives—including scrap rate, deliveries, and customer claims—are met until closure of the final project phase. **General Knowledge:** * ISO 9001 and IATF 16949:2016, specifically in-depth knowledge of clause 8.3.4.1 and VDA. * Plastic injection process. * Core Tools: Knowledge and application of Core Tools. * (FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP) * Problem-solving techniques: Knowledge and application of problem-solving techniques (8D). * Statistical standards: Knowledge and application of statistical standards, control charts, capability studies. * Customer portal knowledge (Valeo (SRM), Hella (IQS)). * IMDS portal knowledge. * Packaging development. **Required Competencies or Skills:** * Quality focus. * Decision-making. * Analytical. * Organized. * Analysis and problem-solving. * Teamwork. * Communication skills. * Leadership. **WE OFFER:** * **Salary:** $25,000.00 to $30,000.00 * **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm — Saturdays, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm * **Benefits:** Statutory benefits.
