Welding Quality Inspector Supervisor

**Job Objective** Coordinate, supervise, and ensure the proper execution of quality inspections in welding and vehicle body manufacturing processes, guaranteeing compliance with internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulations through efficient management of the inspection team. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of welding quality inspectors. * Verify compliance with quality standards in welding and assembly processes. * Ensure correct application of inspection procedures and work instructions. * Validate visual and dimensional inspections performed by assigned personnel. * Identify deviations, defects, or nonconformities in processes and products. * Coordinate corrective actions and follow-up on rework. * Authorize release of structures and vehicle bodies per specifications. * Supervise compliance with safety and quality standards. * Prepare performance indicator reports, incident reports, and area results. * Train and develop inspection personnel. * Participate in internal and external audits. * Coordinate continuous improvement activities for welding processes. * Ensure adherence to inspection and release timelines. * Maintain communication with production, engineering, and quality departments. Job RequirementsEducation * Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field. * Welding or quality certification is desirable. Experience * 3–5 years in welding quality inspection or the metal-mechanical industry. * Experience supervising personnel. * Experience in vehicle body or metal structure manufacturing is desirable. Knowledge * MIG, TIG, and/or SMAW welding processes. * Interpretation of engineering drawings and welding symbols. * Visual and dimensional welding inspection. * Industrial quality and safety standards. * Use of measuring instruments. * Nonconformance control. * Report and indicator preparation. * Proficiency in Excel and quality control systems. * Knowledge of AWS or ISO standards is desirable.
