Cook (f/m) **Job Objective** To prepare food in accordance with established quality, presentation, hygiene, and timing standards, contributing to customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of the kitchen. **Duties and Responsibilities** * Prepare and cook food following recipes and established standards. * Assist with pre-preparation tasks. * Verify the quality, freshness, and proper storage of ingredients. * Comply with hygiene and food safety regulations (Distintivo H). * Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned work area and equipment. * Follow instructions from the Chef. * Assist with plating and presentation of dishes. * Control portion sizes and minimize waste. * Report shortages, equipment malfunctions, or anomalies. * Assist with inventory management and receipt of supplies when required. **Job Requirements** * **Education:** Completed secondary school (technical or culinary education preferred). * **Experience:** Minimum 1 year in a similar role. * **Knowledge:** * Basic cooking techniques. * Hygienic handling of food. * Use of kitchen equipment. * Portion control and cooking time management. * **Languages:** Not mandatory (basic English desirable for hospitality industry). **Skills and Competencies** * Teamwork. * Organization and discipline. * Attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure. * Service-oriented attitude. * Responsibility and commitment. **Working Conditions** * Rotating shifts. * Extended periods standing. * Exposure to heat and noise. * Availability to work weekends and holidays. **Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * Adherence to recipes and standards. * Dish delivery times. * Waste levels. * Compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. * Internal quality evaluations.
