**Purpose of the position:** Plan, coordinate and control purchasing department activities, ensuring timely and efficient supply of goods and services, with optimal quality, cost and delivery terms, aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives. **Key responsibilities:** * Design and implement purchasing and procurement policies and procedures. * Develop and maintain relationships with key national and international suppliers. * Negotiate purchase terms, contracts, pricing, delivery schedules and quality requirements. * Ensure adherence to supply timelines according to operational needs. * Oversee supplier evaluation and selection based on technical and financial criteria. * Manage inventory control and optimal stock levels in coordination with logistics and warehousing. * Assess supply chain risks and define mitigation strategies. * Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities in procurement. * Monitor compliance with legal, tax and internal policy requirements. Generate periodic reports on key departmental performance indicators for senior management. **Academic qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Trade or related field. * Master’s degree in Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or MBA is desirable. **Work experience:** * Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain, including at least 2 years in leadership roles. * Experience in negotiation, supplier management and contract administration. * International procurement experience (imports/exports) is desirable. **Technical knowledge:** * Procurement and supply chain management * Negotiation and cost analysis * Commercial and customs legislation (as applicable) * ERP systems proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) * Advanced Excel and data analysis * Intermediate-to-advanced English (depending on business scope) **Soft skills:** * Negotiation and communication skills * Leadership and decision-making ability * Analytical and strategic thinking * Organization and follow-up capability * Ethics, integrity and confidentiality * Stress tolerance and conflict management **Performance indicators (KPIs):** * Procurement savings achieved vs. budget * Average acquisition time * On-time delivery (OTD) rate * Quality of received materials (return rate) * User department satisfaction * Inventory turnover and stock levels **Work location:** Vicente Guerrero, Dgo.
