




**Job Description: Maintenance Electrical Technician (Laboratory – Mine, Durango)** **Initial Contract Duration: 3 months** The Electrical Technician will be responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance on the laboratory’s electrical systems and equipment located within the mining unit, ensuring continuous, safe, and standards-compliant operation. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory electrical equipment (distribution panels, motors, crushing systems, furnaces, presses, pumps, compressors, sampling equipment, etc.). * Diagnose electrical faults and determine required repairs or component replacements. * Verify continuity, voltage levels, connections, protective devices, and operating conditions of motors, contactors, sensors, and wiring. * Provide support during installation and commissioning of laboratory electrical and electromechanical equipment. * Inspect and maintain control panels, load centers, switches, and protective devices. * Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and client requirements. * Prepare maintenance reports and track serviced equipment. * Properly use electrical measurement tools (multimeter, clamp meter, megohmmeter). * Coordinate activities with the maintenance team, laboratory analysts, and area supervision. * Maintain order, cleanliness, and good work practices within the work area. **Job Requirements** * Technical degree in Industrial Electricity, Electrical Maintenance, Electromechanics, or related field. * Experience in electrical maintenance within industrial or mining environments (experience in metallurgical laboratories preferred). * Knowledge of reading electrical diagrams, wiring installation, motors, protection devices, and controls. * Experience working with medium- and low-voltage systems (per client’s internal regulations). * Safe handling of electrical tools and procedures. * Availability to work on-site in Durango and comply with the client’s shift schedule. **Desired Competencies** * Effective fault diagnosis and problem resolution. * Teamwork and cross-departmental communication. * Attention to detail and strict adherence to mining safety standards. * Responsibility, organization, and operational discipline.
