Ensure compliance with engineering standards and delivery timelines. **Structural Design Engineer** Department Engineering / Design / Projects Reports To Engineering Manager Job Objective Design, analyze, and develop metal structures and mechanical components in accordance with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer needs—ensuring functionality, safety, quality, and manufacturing feasibility within established timelines. Main Responsibilities * Develop structural designs and fabrication drawings for metalworking projects. * Perform structural calculations and material strength analysis. * Develop models and assemblies using 2D and 3D CAD software. * Validate designs against applicable standards and specifications. * Coordinate with production and manufacturing teams to assess fabrication feasibility. * Generate bills of materials (BOM) and technical documentation. * Participate in technical reviews with customers and suppliers. * Implement modifications and improvements to existing designs. * Oversee testing, prototyping, and engineering release. * Provide technical support to production, quality, and assembly departments. * Ensure adherence to engineering delivery timelines. * Maintain control and safekeeping of technical documentation and revisions. Job ProfileEducation * Mechanical, Civil, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Experience * 3–5 years in structural design or metalworking engineering. * Experience with metal structures, racks, platforms, machinery, or industrial manufacturing. * Experience interpreting drawings and manufacturing processes. Knowledge * Structural design and material strength. * Metalworking manufacturing processes: * welding, * laser cutting, * bending, * machining, * assembly. * Preparation of fabrication and assembly drawings. * Structural calculation and load analysis. * Geometric and dimensional tolerances (GD\&T). * Interpretation of technical specifications and quality standards.
