Job Description
At RobiKids, we are looking for a passionate Robotics Instructor who loves technology and teaching to deliver in-person classes to children and youth during our upcoming summer course.
Unlike closed systems, this course uses open-source electronics (Arduino). We emphasize hands-on learning, where students not only program but also assemble their own circuits—cultivating logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic and family-friendly environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver educational robotics and programming classes using the Arduino ecosystem.
* Guide students through project design, breadboard assembly, and programming of physical projects (sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers).
* Explain fundamental electronics concepts and programming logic clearly, accessibly, and playfully to students.
* Diagnose and assist students in resolving common hardware connection or code errors (debugging).
* Maintain classroom management, ensuring a safe, respectful, and highly motivating learning environment.
Requirements
* Education: Advanced student or graduate in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related fields (with strong programming logic foundation).
* Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with the Arduino IDE or block-based programming environments applied to hardware (Tinkercad / Scratch).
* Proficiency in C/C++-based languages (or ease of adaptation due to experience with Java/C#).
* Basic electronics knowledge: use of breadboards, reading simple schematics, connecting LEDs, resistors, motors, and sensors (ultrasonic, light, temperature, etc.).
* Soft Skills: Exceptional patience, empathy, excellent communication, and ability to convey complex concepts to children and youth.
* Location: Availability to work in the Emiliano Zapata area.
We Offer
* Training and alignment with RobiKids’ pedagogical methodology.
* All necessary physical teaching materials (Arduino boards, components, sensors).
* An excellent working environment within a family-oriented, approachable, and continuously growing educational project.
* Competitive hourly honorarium.
Job Type: Part-time, Trainee
Salary: $70.00 - $100.00 per hour
Benefits:
* Flexible schedules
* Complimentary uniforms
Education:
* Incomplete or ongoing technical higher education (preferred)
Work Location: On-site employment
