Position Summary: We are seeking a Histology Technician with experience in tissue processing and immunohistochemistry equipment operation to provide advisory, training, and technical support. Availability for domestic and international travel Histology Technician - Technical Advisor The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in: • Processing formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues • Using automated immunohistochemistry systems (Ventana, DAKO, Leica, etc.) • Knowledge of Pathology and Histology environments (IHC and H&E) • Ideally, installation, commissioning, training, and maintenance of medical equipment; diagnosing potential failures; and optimizing or adjusting protocols involving antibodies and detection systems to ensure optimal equipment performance • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make technical decisions • Availability for domestic travel and occasional international travel (USA and Latin America), with flexible scheduling • Intermediate-to-advanced English (B2) is desirable Job Responsibilities: • Conduct client visits (primarily laboratories and hospitals) for training, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization • Develop and deliver scientific presentations to demonstrate products/equipment functionality • Train and guide other specialists (e.g., histology technicians, laboratory managers, etc.) • Equipment installation and commissioning: Pre-installation site verification (electrical and environmental conditions) Unpacking, calibration, and validation of automated immunohistochemistry equipment • Preventive maintenance: Planning and executing maintenance activities per the service manual and internal schedule • Corrective maintenance: Failure diagnosis and root cause analysis Replacement of parts, module repair, and functional testing Documentation of interventions via maintenance reports • Inspection of electronic and hydraulic components • Internal and external technical cleaning of equipment • Remote or on-site technical advisory services for inquiries, misuse, or malfunctions • Training sales teams on key equipment features, operation, usage, and resolution of common questions • User and/or distributor training and support: Induction of medical personnel on safe and correct equipment usage Technical-level training of distributors on equipment Work Schedule: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 9–18 hrs (flexible) Location: Cuauhtémoc neighborhood (Hybrid) We Offer: Base salary: $35,000 net SGMM Meal vouchers Vacation benefits . -Requirements- Minimum education: Higher education – Bachelor’s degree 2 years of experience Languages: English Age: between 25 and 50 years Willingness to travel: Yes Keywords: technologist, technician, tech, technician, technology, tecnología, technologist, advisor, asesor
