Senior Observability Engineer

**Description:** ---------------- We are seeking a **\*Senior Observability Engineer\*** at **Itera México**, with experience in monitoring and observability tools, capable of supporting the evaluation, operation, optimization, and evolution of an enterprise observability platform. The ideal candidate should have experience in infrastructure, application, log, metric, trace, dashboard, and alerting monitoring—preferably with knowledge of one or more observability tools such as: \*Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk Observability, Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Elastic Observability\*, among others. **Requirements:** --------------- Required profile * Senior-level experience in observability, monitoring, or technological operations platforms. * Minimum 3 years of experience implementing, administering, or operating observability tools. * Practical knowledge of infrastructure, application, service, log, metric, APM, trace, and dashboard monitoring. * Experience with at least one observability tool, for example: * Datadog * Dynatrace * New Relic * Splunk Observability * Grafana / Prometheus * AppDynamics * Elastic Observability * CloudWatch / Azure Monitor * Datadog experience or willingness to learn Datadog is desirable. * Experience integrating observability solutions with cloud environments, preferably AWS and/or Azure. * Knowledge of container, Kubernetes, microservices, or enterprise application monitoring. * Familiarity with SRE, DevOps, monitoring, alerting, and incident management best practices. * Analytical ability, troubleshooting skills, and technical documentation capability. * Ability to collaborate with infrastructure, development, operations, security, and architecture teams. Desirable technical knowledge * End\-to\-end observability: metrics, logs, traces, and events. * APM and distributed tracing. * Monitoring of cloud and on\-premise infrastructure. * Monitoring of enterprise applications and microservices. * Alert management and tuning. * Creation of executive, technical, and operational dashboards. * Integration with ITSM/DevOps tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar. * Automation using scripts, APIs, Terraform, or other IaC tools. * Concepts of SLI, SLO, SLA, error budgets, and SRE practices. * Capacity, availability, performance, and cost analysis related to observability.
