Contribute to the Process Safety program through reliable documentation **ALTEN Mexico** is seeking a **Process and P\&ID Engineer** to join a multidisciplinary team focused on updating, generating, and standardizing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) within the ingredients manufacturing plant. **Position Profile:** You will be part of a team responsible for managing, conducting field surveys, and updating process engineering documentation, ensuring that P&IDs accurately reflect the actual “as\-built” condition of facilities in each plant area. You will be responsible for conducting field surveys, validating equipment, piping, valve, and instrumentation configurations, and updating or generating P&IDs in accordance with corporate standards and applicable international regulations. You will ensure consistency between engineering documentation and actual plant operations, maintaining integrity, traceability, and revision control within the official document management system. You will coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Automation, and Process Safety departments, directly contributing to the Process Safety program by ensuring the technical documentation’s reliability in an environment focused on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. **Responsibilities:** * Develop and execute the plant’s P&ID update program. * Conduct field surveys to validate the actual condition of equipment, piping, valves, and instrumentation. * Update existing P&IDs to ensure consistency with current installations. * Generate missing P&IDs in accordance with corporate engineering standards. * Verify consistency between P&IDs and the control system database. * Maintain revision control, change management, and document traceability. * Integrate and update documentation in the official engineering repository. * Deliver drawings in authorized AutoCAD and PDF formats. Support Process Safety-related activities through technical documentation reliability. * **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or related field. * **Minimum 3 years of experience in developing, updating, or managing P&IDs in industrial plants.** * Experience in field surveys and generating “as\-built” documentation. * Knowledge of instrumentation, process equipment, and control systems. * Proficiency in AutoCAD P\&ID, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar tools. * Familiarity with engineering documentation standards such as ISA S5\.1 and ISO 10628\. * Experience in technical document control and revision management. * Desired experience in Process Safety or process safety environments. * **Intermediate English level (reading technical documentation, basic communication in a work environment).** **Benefits** * Base salary * Major Medical Expense Insurance (includes dental and vision plan) * 15 days bonus * 25% vacation bonus * 12 days of vacation (From the first year) * Social Security * PTU/Profit Sharing
