You’ll find us in automotive factories, packaging systems for the food industry, medical devices and laboratories. **Job Description** Coordinate and supervise activities involved in calibration and dimensional evaluation programs within the internal laboratory to ensure that inspection, measurement and test equipment, measurement methods and dimensional evaluations comply with standards and specifications. Activities: * Promote safety, health, quality and environmental protection in accordance with ISO 14001/ ISO 45001/ ISO9001/ and applicable standards. * Develop programs for part dimensioning using coordinate measuring machines. * Run measurement routines to release work orders. Includes all necessary activities for: + Confirm receipt of samples and specifications according to the engineering level specified in the work request. + Identify samples. + Analyze specifications to determine feasibility of evaluating all required characteristics. + Notify requester of feasibility of the dimensional study. + Program a measurement routine if deemed necessary. + Execute the dimensional measurement. + Prepare dimensional report, confirming final format with requester. + Issue dimensional report. + Notify completion of the dimensional study. + Confirm dimensions obtained in the internal metrology laboratory to ensure they have been performed under controlled conditions. Includes all necessary activities to ensure that laboratory environmental conditions, measurement equipment used, sample fixturing and alignment, and characteristic evaluation methods are reliable. * Confirm laboratory environmental conditions (temperature and humidity). * Confirm that measurement equipment used is calibrated and functioning properly. * Maintain traceability of data generated by the internal metrology laboratory to identify potential issues in product dimensional reports. * Generate and keep updated work procedures for the internal metrology laboratory aligned with applicable standards. **Qualifications** Degrees: Metrology Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering Advanced knowledge in: CMM programming, use of conventional measurement equipment, basic statistics, geometric tolerances (ASME \& ISO), blueprint and specification reading.
