### **The Role**
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System and for leading all quality activities in new product introduction (NPI) projects. Day-to-day, you will integrate system, project, and plant responsibilities—no isolated work. **Morgan Advanced Materials** is a business rich in history and innovation. The **Thermal Ceramics** division designs, manufactures and installs a broad range of thermal insulation products that significantly reduce energy consumption and emissions in a variety of high temperature processing applications. Our product offering is extensive and covers application needs from Industrial to Commercial markets. **Key Figures:** Revenue £1,100\.7m (2024\), \~8,000 employees, manufacturing in 20\+ countries, and a global customer portfolio. Responsibilities:
### **What You’ll Do**
Quality & System* Maintain and improve the Quality Management System per AS9100 and customer requirements (including AS13100\).
* Coordinate internal, external, and customer audits (and close them effectively—not just “on paper”).
* Manage quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure effective closure of corrective and preventive actions.
* Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why’s, Ishikawa).
* Manage documentation, engineering change control, and quality records.
* Support customer complaints as needed.
* Promote a culture of compliance, operational discipline, and quality.
New Projects / NPI* Lead quality activities for new product development projects.
* Participate in design reviews, feasibility analyses, and risk assessments.
* Coordinate APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Quality Plans, and associated documentation.
* Support PPAP, FAI (AS9102\), and production releases.
* Accompany ramp-up, identifying quality risks and acting promptly.
* Work side-by-side with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and customers.
* Capture lessons learned and standardize best practices.
* Support customer visits and technical discussions during industrialization.

Qualifications:
### **What We’re Looking For**
* Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of quality experience in industrial environments.
* Practical experience with quality systems and audits.
* Hands-on experience in NPI, APQP, and customer requirements.
* Comfort working in cross-functional teams.
* Ability to analyze data, prioritize issues, and drive closure.
* Practical leadership: lead by example, communicate clearly, and follow up consistently.
### **Key Knowledge Areas**
* ISO 9001\.
* AS9100 / AS13100 or IATF 16949 (highly valued).
* APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Quality Plans, FAI.
* SPC and statistical analysis.
* Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
* Interpretation of drawings and technical specifications.
* Management of quality KPIs.
### **Languages**
* Intermediate–advanced English (written and spoken).
### **Highly Desirable**
* Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
* Experience working with Tier 1 aerospace or automotive suppliers.
* Experience in technical ceramics or advanced manufacturing.
