




Job Summary: Responsible for operating and maintaining spray equipment to apply protective and decorative coatings on various surfaces, including surface preparation and touch-ups. Material handling and cross-training in other departments Responsible for operating and maintaining spray machines and equipment to apply paint, enamel, lacquer, or other non-metallic protective and decorative coatings on the surfaces of various products. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Equipment Operation: Using a modern downdraft paint booth, safely operate, clean, and maintain all spray equipment, including the booth itself, spray guns, tanks, and cleaning solvents. Technical Application: Using manual LPHV spray guns, professionally apply isocyanate-free epoxy primer, multi-component paint, and other protective and decorative coatings onto surfaces of various parts. Respirator use is mandatory. Mixing: Select appropriate paint and mix it using automated mixing equipment according to a predetermined formula. Surface Preparation: As required, clean, shot-blast, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents, or otherwise prepare items for painting. Masking: As required, mask areas using tape, magnets, or grease to omit painting as specified. Touch-ups: Paint smaller items and perform touch-ups using brush methods. Material Handling: Operate material handling devices such as overhead cranes and forklifts in compliance with applicable safety standards. Safely use various types of rigging for lifting and transporting loads. Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records, including labor bookings, using various PC-based software applications. Cross-Training: Receive training in other departments as temporarily required. · Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate. Experience: 3–5 years of related experience in industrial, manufacturing, or automotive collision painting. Preferred: Crane Operator training and certification with over 3 years of experience. Preferred: Forklift Operator training and certification with over 3 years of experience.
