We are looking for a strategic and development-oriented **DBA Manager** to lead our data team. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and high performance of our databases, coordinating a technical team of 3 to 10 people. Your role will serve as the bridge between our data infrastructure and the success of our software applications. **Responsibilities:** * **Team Leadership:** Manage and evaluate the performance of a team of 3 to 10 DBAs. * **Data Strategy:** Define backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability policies. * **Optimization:** Oversee and execute optimization of complex queries to improve application speed. * **Lifecycle Management:** Collaborate with the Software Development team on designing scalable data schemas and models. * **Security:** Implement and audit security protocols, encryption, and access controls. * **Resource Management:** Monitor server performance and cloud environment costs. **Requirements:** * Experience: Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience performing Senior or Lead DBA functions, including at least 2 years leading teams. * Education: Completed Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree in Systems, Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or related field (degree holder). * Work location: Availability to work in Lindavista (CDMX) under a 3x2 scheme. * English B2 * AWS Database – Specialty certification. * Experience with DevOps and CI/CD. * Additional knowledge: MySQL, Oracle. **Required Technical Skills:** * Database Engines: Advanced expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. * Languages: Expert-level proficiency in SQL / T-SQL / PL-SQL and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation. * Familiarity with version control tools (Git/GitHub). * Experience with cloud environments (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL). * Data modeling tools (Erwin, Toad, or MySQL Workbench). **We Offer:** * Competitive salary: $60,000 – $80,000 MXN gross per month, based on experience. * Hybrid work model: Work-life balance with 2 days of remote work per week. * Accessible location: Offices located in Lindavista, just 5 minutes from Montevideo Metrobús station. * Direct employment by the company * Hybrid work * Growth opportunities. **Work Mode and Schedule:** * **Hybrid:** 2 days remote / 3 days in-office * Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM * Availability to handle critical incidents and maintenance tasks.
