The Data Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining an organization’s data infrastructure. Their primary responsibility is to design, implement, and manage efficient systems for data collection, processing, and storage, ensuring data availability and quality for subsequent analysis. **Responsibilities**: Data Architecture Design: Collaborate in designing and developing data architecture, selecting the most suitable technologies to meet organizational needs. Data Pipeline Development: Create and maintain efficient data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from diverse sources into storage systems. Data Integration: Work closely with data analysts and data scientists to ensure proper integration and availability of data for analysis. Performance Optimization: Evaluate and improve the performance of data management systems, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Data Security: Implement security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality, complying with organizational security policies and regulations. Process Automation: Develop automated solutions to optimize data handling processes and reduce manual intervention. Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement monitoring systems to oversee data system health and perform preventive maintenance tasks. **Requirements**: * Prior experience in data engineering roles or related fields. * In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Fabric stack (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Semantic Model, Pipeline, Data Factory, Data Flow). * Programming skills, preferably in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. * Familiarity with Medallion data layer concepts (bronze, silver, gold). * DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate) or DP-700 (Fabric Data Engineer Associate) certification. * Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
