Mentor junior engineers Engineer \- Software Lvl 2 A day in the life... * Create frameworks to solve multiple business problems * Responsible for leading design and architecture on projects, write great code * Leads \& inspires engineers within the team through design and execution * Takes ownership of solutions, systems, or designs that span multiple teams' work, breaking work into smaller tasks for more junior engineers to support. * Influences design within and across teams for projects by providing guidance on software design, development \& industry best practices * Diagnose and remedy performance or security issues * Facilitates cross functional troubleshooting, root cause analysis * Surfaces potential design or delivery conflicts in the current product cycle and makes recommendations on the best options. * Demonstrates expertise in industry standards for secure development practices * Expertise with telemetry solutions and products available in the industry * Contributes to community projects and engineering standards * Help mentor junior engineers Skills: * Familiarity with Kubernetes. * Familiarity with relational databases. * Experience with RESTful architecture and micro\-services. * Experience with cloud\-based services such as AWS. * Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies and tooling. * A deep proficiency of Java, additional languages such as Python is a plus. * Experience in developing near real\-time data processing solutions utilizing Kafka is a plus. * Experience with integrations in/out of Financial planning systems (Anaplan, Oracle) a plus. * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). * 3\+ years of professional experience in practice area Employment type: Full\-time, Project\-based or fixed\-term Contract duration: 12 months Salary: Up to $50,000.00 per month Benefits: * Option for permanent contract Education: * Completed Bachelor's degree (Preferred) Experience: * Python: 3 years (Preferred) * AWS: 3 years (Preferred) * Java: 3 years (Preferred) * Kafka: 3 years (Preferred) Language: * English (Preferred) Work location: Remote
