Cultivate teamwork, accountability, and safety compliance **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Ensure the reliable operation of **production equipment and plant facilities**, meeting **Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost** objectives through effective preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance. * Lead the **fast and effective resolution of critical equipment failures**, restoring operations quickly and implementing root cause solutions to prevent recurrence. * Manage and develop the maintenance team by **delegating effectively**, following up on activities, and ensuring ownership, urgency, and accountability. * Promote strong **teamwork and collaboration** within Maintenance and across Production, Quality, Engineering, Safety, and Purchasing. * Ensure the implementation and compliance of maintenance plans for **production equipment and plant systems** (facilities, utilities, services, and infrastructure), reducing downtime, scrap, and operational risks. * Coordinate and **negotiate with Purchasing and external suppliers** for spare parts, services, and maintenance contracts, ensuring cost, quality, and response time targets. * Monitor and close action plans from unplanned downtime, recurring failures, audits, and KPI deviations to ensure sustainable results. * Ensure compliance with **Health, Safety, and Environmental** policies, maintaining **zero tolerance for unsafe acts and conditions**, and leading by example. **REQUIREMENTS** * Engineering degree or technical background in Maintenance, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields. * **Advanced English proficiency (90%)**, able to communicate effectively in meetings, reports, and negotiations. * **8\+ years of experience** within the **Tier 1 automotive industry**. * Experience in maintenance of **production equipment, plant facilities, and utilities**. * **Desirable:** previous experience in the manufacturing of **automotive safety devices** (e.g. airbags, restraint systems..). * Solid knowledge of **common automotive technical requirements**, including: * APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans * Root cause analysis methodologies * TPM, OEE, and KPI management * Internal and external audits (IATF 16949\) * Strong ability to **lead, delegate, and follow up**, ensuring team accountability and results. * Proven capability to work cross\-functionally and **negotiate effectively** both internally and with suppliers. * Strong knowledge and application of industrial safety regulations, legal compliance, and safety training programs.
